HCSS, a construction management software provider for heavy civil and infrastructure contractors, has announced an integration between HCSS Fleet and Motive. The announcement is dated October 27, 2026, and was distributed as a press release from Sugar Land, Texas.
According to the release, contractors can now pull vehicle and asset data from Motive directly into HCSS Fleet. The aim is to end manual entry of engine hours, odometer readings and fuel usage, which the release describes as slow and easy to get wrong for organizations managing hundreds of trucks and machines.
What the integration does
Motive-equipped vehicles and assets appear in HCSS Fleet on the same map as OEM-connected and HCSS-tracked equipment. That gives teams one unified view of their fleet, according to the release.
The release says the integration provides automatic hours, miles and preventive maintenance triggers. HCSS says fresher usage data lets shops tailor service to how machines are actually used and spot assets that may need attention sooner. Operations leaders can see where equipment is and whether it is available for work. Fleet managers get what the release calls a more consistent source of data for reviewing activity, maintenance needs and trends.
Phil Robinson, Group Product Manager, HCSS Fleet, framed the benefit around cost and decisions. "It's about improved job costing and turning connected assets into better decisions," he said.
Jeet Chitgopker, Senior Director, Partner & Ecosystem Engineering at Motive, said the data goes straight to the teams making maintenance and utilization decisions so they can keep machines working and jobs on schedule.
Availability and setup
The integration is available to all HCSS Fleet customers. Users can start from the OEM Providers tab in HCSS Fleet | Telematics, or through the HCSS tile in Motive's App Marketplace.
The companies
HCSS says it has helped contractors since 1986. Its platform spans HeavyBid for estimating, HeavyJob and HCSS Fleet. Motive describes itself as an AI platform for physical operations with nearly 100,000 customers across industries including transportation and logistics, construction, energy and field service.
The release does not say which Motive hardware is supported, nor how often data refreshes, and it does not mention pricing. It also does not name any customers using the integration.
