BusRight announced the launch of BusRight Telematics on Oct. 28, 2026, extending its all-in-one student transportation platform with vehicle location, engine diagnostics and school bus safety data. The announcement was distributed through GlobeNewswire and republished by outlets including Markets Insider and The Manila Times.

According to the company, the first BusRight Telematics customers go live on November 1. BusRight says the product was developed and tested with school districts before launch, and that feedback from transportation leaders shaped which vehicle data it captures.

What the product does

BusRight Telematics connects directly to buses and other vehicles and brings operational, diagnostic and safety data into a single system. The company says the data is merged with routes, fleet records and reports.

On school buses, the system captures stop-arm deployment, door activity, red and amber warning lights and turn signals. Each event is tied to vehicle location and time. BusRight says staff can use the data to verify stops, give parents more context and understand incidents.

For maintenance teams, the product exposes vehicle health information, including engine diagnostic codes, mileage and other safety-related details.

The product is not limited to yellow buses. BusRight says districts can also track activity shuttles, multiuse vans, maintenance trucks and other district vehicles without a separate system or login.

Positioning and availability

BusRight says many districts keep vehicle information across several systems for routing, location, diagnostics and maintenance, and that staff have to switch between them. Its pitch is "one vendor, one contract and one place to manage critical vehicle data." The company describes the product as applying telematics technology commonly used in logistics to school transportation.

Districts can sign up regardless of fleet size, and both current BusRight customers and new districts are eligible. BusRight says new districts can typically go from order to operational in about six weeks.

CEO and co-founder Keith Corso said in the release that districts should not have to piece together information from multiple systems to see what is happening across their vehicle pool.

The release does not name hardware, pricing, integration partners or the number of founding customers. It also does not say which data standards or engine data interfaces the product supports.
